St. Julia's Women's Club; Weston, Massachusetts; May 25, 1966. <br/> Dimensions: H. 6 3/4" D. of bottom 3 1/16" 20.465 ozt. <br/> This teapot has an inverted pear-shaped body. It stands on a moulded splayed foot. A curved spout with scroll tip and scroll on the underside near the body relates nicely with the form of the curved wooden handle. The domed, hinged cover is surmounted by a pinecone finial with wood insert. There is engraving on both the shoulder and the lid. The engraving consists of scrolls, flowers, geometric patterning, and faces. |
