Salve Regina College; Newport, Rhode Island; May 17, 1964; no. 29. <br/> Dimensions: H. 7/16" L. 3" 1.425 ozt. <br/> This unmarked snuffbox is decorated with an intricately engraved horse and rider holding a sword which displays a great deal of craftsmanship. The horse was engraved at a trot upon a ground line extending across the lower section. The remaining section of the top is bordered by short, curved lines contained by a continuous wavy line on the inside. An unbroken line decorates the outside near the rim. Also engraved in block letters inside the cover and on the bottom is DL. |
