Mark: H. W I S H A R T, capitals in a rectangle, near one end on the bottom <br/> Engraved: E N M G <br/> Dimensions: H. 1 1/4" D. 8 7/16" 18.5 ozt. <br/> The special quality in this piece consists in the engraved and flowing bright-cut border of scrolls, leaves, and flowers. This small rectangular salver is highlighted by a cast beaded moulding applied to the edge of the everted rim. The piece is raised on four feet composed of hollow cylinders and balls. Engraved in script on the center top is E N M G. Scratched on the bottom is 1815. |
