Mark: I: BURT, capitals with colon between, enclosed in a cartouche <br/> Engraved: AL <br/> Exhibited: Newton College of the Sacred Heart; Newton, Massachusetts; March 10, 1963; no. 104. Salve Regina College; Newport, Rhode Island; May, 17 1964; no. 104 <br/> Dimensions: H. 3 5/8" D. 1 3/4" 2.01ozt. <br/> The octagonal sides of this pepper box taper slightly to a moulded baseband, a repetition of the moulded midband. The low domed cover is intricately pierced with diamonds, scrolls, and dots. A delicate scroll handle with a grip and turned finial was attached. Engraved in block letters on the bottom is A L. |
