H. 13 3/8" L. 14" 36. 285 ozt. <br/> The elliptical urn-shaped body of the coffeepot is a chief feature of the Classical period. The taut surface of the body is broken with two flutes which decrease in width as they follow the shape of the body above the foot. The concave shoulder curves in to meet the conforming flush-hinged domed cover topped with an urn-shaped finial. The flowering, high curved handle is balanced by a curving spout. On each side of the body there is a delicate script monogram T E D.
