Description
The summer of 1972 marked the 25th Jubilee of the Summer School of Sacred Theology, which was celebrated over a two day period. On day one, a late-morning Mass in Raymond Hall followed by a "Buffet Lunch and Agape of Joy, Song and Jubilation" at noon took place. A special sing-along musical program accompanied the luncheon with the theme of "Day by Day." The following day, Monday, July 31, 1972, a special Mass was held in the St. Pius V Church located across the street from the college campus. Rev. Louis E. Gelineau, D.D., Bishop of Providence, led the Holy Eucharist of Thanksgiving celebration and music was offered by the Jubilee Choir, which was comprised of Sisters attending the Summer School. After Mass, a Jubilee luncheon reception was held in the Raymond Hall Dining Room with festivities provided by the sisters.
