Hand colored lithograph, probably copied from an image of Thomas Dorr published in the August, 1842 issue of the United States Magazine and Democratic Review, which in turn was taken from a daguerreotype. In Dorr's right he holds a copy of the People�s Constitution. Creator: James Baillie, who had just set up in business in New York City after having worked as a colorist for Nathaniel Currier.
