The teapot and sugar bowl both have elliptical shapes, topped with a ball finial and decorated with reeded mouldings around the edges. Each piece is embellished with bright-cut decoration of a typical New York shield, containing a monogram on one side with draped garlands extending from the corners of the shield across the body The garland is held by a bow in the center with sheaves of wheat below. The engraved monogram T E D, in script is seen on each piece of the set. |
